By car take junction 36 from the M6 and then on to the A590 towards Barrow. Carry on through Newby bridge and after approx 6 miles turn right at Greenodd onto the A595 Workington (Millom). Carry on for approx 17 miles past Foxfield and Broughton, keep going on the A595. DO NOT take the Millom road, stay on the A595 through the valley till you reach a T junction. Turn left and keep going past Silecroft and on into Kirksanton. Go through the village and after the second level crossing, we are on the left. This should take you approx 1 hour from the motorway. By rail to Millom and taxi to bankfield.
